BioEmbroidery - Art and Science Mash-Up!

This is a class celebrating the intersection of art and science.  Art is communication and I believe it is important to communicate about science.  We can create beautiful art and study/teach science at the same time.  I will have some designs available or bring your ideas and I can help with turning them into beautiful embroidery.  Embroidering on clothes is highly encouraged.  I will have equipment loaned from the San Francisco School of Needlework and design or bring your own if you are not a beginner.  If you have never stitched before you are most welcome and instruction in embroidery will be happily provided.

Every 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00PM

see MarioGabiati Meetup Group

Classes will be held in a new dynamic lab space in Oakland where science and art inspire and inform each other.  Come feel the energy and excitement of the future of science even if you've never thought about science before!
